Quote: Dr. Maya Angelou

My mom and I were watching all of these Oprah shows the other night. That’s usually not like us…(really) but we fell in love with Oprah’s Master’s Series, especially the episode on Dr. Maya Angelou. She is sooooo inspiring. Watch the episode on her life. CLICK HERE to find all of Oprah’s Master’s Episodes.

“I am grateful to have been loved and to be loved now and to be able to love, because that liberates. Love liberates. It doesn’t just hold—that’s ego. Love liberates. It doesn’t bind. Love says, ‘I love you. I love you if you’re in China. I love you if you’re across town. I love you if you’re in Harlem. I love you. I would like to be near you. I’d like to have your arms around me. I’d like to hear your voice in my ear. But that’s not possible now, so I love you. Go.'” — Dr. Maya Angelou

Above is a picture of my brother and sister-in-law. And I think they liberated each other through love. And while they are annoyingly in love when they are together, I know that they are both super happy.

Today I am thankful for: a restful weekend.
